Born in Calgary on March 14,1916 and died at the Oak Bay Lodge on July 3, 2007. Predeceased by Katie, his wife of 60 years on December 1, 2004. He leaves his daughter Margaret MacKay; grandsons David and Darrell and their father Hugh MacKay; 2 nephews Gordon and Raymond Galey and their families, nephew Clifford in Fernie, BC; 2 brothers, David of Victoria and Eddy of Thunder Bay, Ontario; cousins Jim and Charlie Kilbourne.
The family wish to thank the staff of Dogwood # 1, Oak Bay Lodge for their wonderful care of George. Memorial service will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel on Friday July 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm.
