Passed away suddenly and peacefully at home in Victoria, having lived a full life.  In fact, he was hours from traveling on the next adventure to some of his favourite haunts in the UK and Europe (especially Paris). He is predeceased by his father Joe, mother Betty, brother Edward and his dog Sinchia.  Survived by his devoted and loving wife Jane, daughter Vanessa (Will), daughter Jennifer (Jason), son Justin (Leila) and his grandchildren, Jayde, Kurtis and Sinclair, who he adored with all his heart. He will be sadly missed by his brother Richard (Jill) and many extended family in Victoria and the UK; in addition to his friends who are as fun loving as himself.

Frank was full of life, he had a positive impact on so many, he was cheeky, mischievous and loved having people in his home. He spent his career as a CPA, CGA and ran his accounting firm for many years, loving the community he built around him and his many clients, however he was always happy when April 30th rolled by and he could get away on his overseas adventures. You are no longer here Dad, but we hope you are smiling the biggest smile, free to explore the world even further on your bike with an ice cream, a bagel or a pastry in your hand! We will remember your Frank’ism’s forever and will miss you oh so very much!  We hope you can now “Take it Easy!”

In remembrance of Frank and other past Saanich Rotarians, tributes, if desired, may be made to Dana Henly at the Camosun College Foundation for the Rotary Club of Saanich Memorial Bursary, 4461 Interurban Road, Victoria, B.C. V9E 2C1. Funds are used to help young people and single mothers with their education. Please join the family for an open house to Celebrate Frank’s Life (Le Tour de Frank) at the family home, Friday April 28, 2023 from 3pm to 6pm. In memory of Frank Lee. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I worked for Frank in the 1970’s, and he got me into the CGA program. He was a great boss and a very caring person. My condolences to his family.

Jane and family, so sorry to hear this news. Sending condolences to all his family.
Francis was my longest friend and remember our childhood times on Moss rocks, cycling together, and recent summer conversations. There are very few children who have as wonderful a friend that follows through into retirement.
Count me as someone that will miss our times together.

I am a runner and also live on Dallas Road. For over 30 years I’ve run at Elk/Beaver lakes with two friends early on Saturday mornings. This was where we first met Frank striding around the lake with his dog. He always greeted us with a big smile and cheerful hello and over time we exchanged names and gradually got to learn a little more about each other. We knew that Frank had a busy accounting practice and was always happy when tax season was over! Frank picked up on my English accent and told us about his family in the UK and regular visits there. More recently I would see Frank striding along the Breakwater/Dallas Road or out and about on his bike. He always took the time to wave and say hello. He was a prince of a man and I’m so sad to hear about his passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family. RIP, Frank.

Frank was the type of person that radiates warmth and makes everyone feel at ease. You instantly remember that about him. I didn’t spend much time with him but I remember him being so happy playing with our late family dog Nina when he visited us in NZ. That memory makes me happy. Sending all my love to the family xx

  • Tracy Lowe

Oh my goodness, the description of Frank’s playfulness is just so vivid and true. It’s very hard to imagine someone so full of life actually passing away. Jane and family, we are shocked and saddened to learn of Frank’s sudden passing. He was our friend and accountant for more than 40 years! Always so helpful and always a smile, a pleasure to know him.

  • Doris and Laurie

We met Frank 5 years ago and have only known him as a very active “retired” senior. We found him to be always smiling and upbeat and ready for a DIY challenge. Our experience has been that Frank does not and did not shy away from carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, and fixing what he could. He knew when to get outside help when he couldn’t. Truly a man of his generation, they don’t make them like that anymore.

  • Michael Rochford

I cannot put into words how shocked I was to hear of Frank’s passing. I’ll miss his twinkly eyes and ready smile. Him having a nap at Rochfest while everyone else was running around and making a noise will always bring a smile! My deepest condolences to all!

  • Tim Murphy

Frank always supported our students and families at Craigflower Elementary School with food distribution with dedication (Saanich Rotary). He greeted each person with a smile and a respectful chuckle. One of a kind! Our deepest condolences to your family and friends from the staff, students and families of Craigflower Elementary.

  • Sherri Martin

My condolences to the family. Frank was such a lovely gentleman with a very kind and generous spirit. He always had great professional advice to give and was our long time family Accountant. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family.

  • Dustin Geddes

Frank and I met when we both needed a change in pace in 2009. I wanted to find a local practice to buy and he was selling. Frank turned out to be the best teacher and mentor that a new public practitioner could dream of.
I will miss his wit, patience, endless knowledge and mostly his sincerity. Very few people are as true as Frank. I will miss him dearly.
Condolences to Jane, the children and family.

  • Virginia Stenson
