1920 – 2009
Flawrence passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 27, 2009 with family at her side. She was born on September 30, 1920 in Vancouver, BC. In 1948 she moved to Sooke along with her husband and two young daughters. Flawrence and her late husband Linn operated the Castle café in Sooke during the late fifties. She was later employed at the Sooke post office until her retirement. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and Great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all her family; Sister Gladys (Alf), Daughters Loretta (John) Acreman, Linda (Hugh) Wadams: Grandchildren Derek (Traci), Lorne (Kathy), Charlene, Carol (Glenn), Stephen, and Heather (Ra’ed); Great-Grandchildren Kelli, Tara, Cole, and Nojoud, as well as many. Nieces and nephews. She was pre-decreased by her husband Linn, Mother Elizabeth and Father Ted Styker.
The family of Flawrence would like to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Staff of the Kiwanis Pavilion for their loving care during the last five years.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of followers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
