Dolores (Robinson) Stevens To Elaine’s family,
I was shocked to see Elaine’s obituary and offer my sincere condolences to all of you.
I have known Elaine since grade one at Willows School and of course right through OBHS.
Although she never attended any of our high school reunions, I enjoyed meeting and talking
to her on walks around Oak Bay. I always found Elaine to be caring and consistent. I would
have liked to have known her better, but our paths seemed to take different directions. Her nursing career and family were important to her and her caring nature certainly came into play in both. A lovely person whom I will miss even though we did not get together often.

I am sorry to hear Elaine is gone. She was a constant presence around Lulie Street with her little dog and a big smile. She was lucky to have daughter Heather nearby, plus her granddaughters to enjoy.

Pam Carbery Elaine was such a wonderful person and was such a delight to see and talk to in the neighbourhood. She aways had a cheery hello for everyone and was such a great conversationalist. Elaine’s garden was so beautiful and inspired us all to try just a little bit harder with our own. We will truly miss her and are so sorry for your loss. We are out of the country and sadly will miss her service. Much love to Heather, Laura Colleen and the rest of the family from Elaine’s Lulie Street neighbours, Brent and Pam Carbery.
To the family of Elaine McCorquodale:
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mum. My brother(Ian) & I
lived down the road from your Mum & her brother during our childhood. Your Mum, as a young teenager, occasionally babysat me. Our paths crossed again in later years when we worked at the Oak Bay Lodge.
I shall remember her for her cheerfulness. Our thoughts are with you all at this time.
Respectfully
Pam Vanden-Bulck (Haynes)
