February 26, 1935 – March 4, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother/Nonna and Bisnonna Egle. She has made her final trip to reunite with her husband, our father, Rino. She leaves behind her daughters Lili (Brent) and Sonia (Cliff), grandchildren, Whitney (Patrick), Elisha (Steven) and Elden (Meghan) and eight great grandchildren, all of whom she loved so much. As well, she leaves her sister Italia and brother Georgio (Julie) and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Special thanks to Victoria Hospice for their care in her final days.
Service to be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 753 Burnside Road, Victoria on March 23, 2023, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney foundation or Victoria Hospice.

Barbara Robinson Hi Sonia, I’m Barb from our Harbour Towers days together. My husband Peter always had a soft spot for your Mom, from when they worked at The Sherwood Park Inn at the same time.
We are both sorry for your loss. Our condolences to all of your family.

Pat Velo Dear Lili and Sonia,
So many memories, so much laughter, and all the good times.
I know our parents always enjoyed spending time with your mom and dad when they visited here and when our parents went to Victoria. I especially remember way back in the day when our dad was working on the Island and mom, Roger and I spent quite a lot of time hanging around your parents’ house during those summers.
Your mom was always incredibly welcoming, generous, and open hearted. Take solace that she had a well lived life, and was well loved. Much love and condolences to you and your families.
from both Roger and me

Giovanna Greco Our deepest condolences to the family
To my Victoria Family – Zia Egle was my most favourite Zia and there are so many things I will miss – her kindness, her outward love for me and my family, her crostolli, how when I hugged her she came just below my chin and much more! She definitely gave life to the saying – “she may be small but she is mighty”. It was so lovely seeing her last year and to get to spend some time with her. Zia, may you rest in peace. Our love and condolences to Lili, Sonia and families xoxox Tanya Terry
