Sadly, we must say goodbye to our mother Dr. Bernice May Seyfort. She was predeceased by her parents, William Brown Anders and Ivy May Anders; sisters Jean, Nancy, Janet and brother Kent. She leaves behind her long-time companion Tom Moore; daughters Heidi (Mike) and Sonja; grandchildren Kevin (Janelle), Jonny (Becca) and many nieces and nephews. Mom also leaves many close family members in Wales and England.

After obtaining her PhD in Neuropsychology in 1978 she worked at Glendale Lodge Society from 1973 to 1996. During her time there she became director of Psychological Services and Director of Island Mental Health Support team from 1991-2000. She then went on to University of Victoria as Clinical supervisor graduate studies from 2000-2021.

Once retired, she enjoyed her time with her family, friends, book club, walking and traveling with her daughters.

We would like to send out a heartfelt thanks to Sidney All Care who have taken excellent care of our mom.

Mom gave to many charities, but favourite’s were Doctors Without Borders, Firefighter Fund and MS Society. So please, in lieu of flowers, donate to your favourite charity in her name.

Roger and I are sad to hear of Bernice’s death, we miss her views and opinions and our discussions of landscaping, gardens, family, and world events with her. We live in Unit 1 of our townhouse strata, she lived in Unit 5, nearby, until she moved to a longterm care home a year or two ago. We want to express our feelings to Heidi and Sonya, and hope we can get in touch with you both by telephone. We hope to attend the Memorial Service. Very nice photo in the Times Colonist obituary.
