Born September 14, 1910 in Esquimalt, deceased October 14, 2007 from complications following a broken leg, Don’s wisdom, quiet leadership, strong faith, humour, discipline, dependability, and helpfulness enriched us all. Beloved father to Nancy (Ross McLaughlin) and Jean (Arthur Marcellus), grandfather to Doug and Pauline Burnett, Garrett and Ryan Marcellus, sister to Margaret Trowsdale, brother-in-law to Ruth Dickson (Comox) and Warren White (Winnipeg), and uncle to 8 nephews, one niece and their off-spring, Don was predeceased by his wife and partner of 58 years, Rita, sister Ruth (Smith), and brothers Gordon and George.
