Don passed away very unexpectedly, on September 17, 2024. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Mildred Green, sisters Barbra Ward and Carol Harvey. Don is also predeceased by his daughter Wanda Yvonne Foss (Green) in 1987.
Don is survived by his son Ron (Kathy) Green, daughter Shannon (Matt) Kraeker, grandchildren
Kyle and Sara Green, Darienne and Nolan Kraeker.
Don worked many years refuelling planes at the Victoria airport for “Esso” and was never shy about offering his opinion to any dignitaries who would listen. He was always happy to relay the story of fuelling up John Wayne’s plane.
Don went on to work at Safeway for many years, and had many lifetime friends from the original “Sidney Gang”. Towards the end of Don’s working years, he was employed at the Waddling Dog” beer and wine store, where he encountered many characters of whom he befriended along the way.
Don cherished his time with his family most of all. To those who knew Dad please raise a glass in memory of him.
