BUCHAN – Donald Andrew passed away August 30, 2003 in Victoria, B.C. in his 85th year.

I only just heard of Mr. Buchan’s passing. I was a student of his at Sir Wilfrid Laurier in Scarboro. I went on the band trips and even went as a chaperone when I was in university. I studied music at university as a euphonium player and for a year or two he loaned me Jacks’ euphonium. I currently teach high school instrumental music in Richmond Hill Ontario and still remember him regularily. In the summer of 2010 our graduating class got together for our first reunion and I met up with many of my band mates. It was fun to remember the great times we had on the trips and in the class. Mr. Buchan left an impression on us all. At least 4 people that I know of made a career of music after graduating Laurier. We had some good times there.
I know this is a late date to be sending condolences but I am sorry for your loss. I will never forget Mr. Buchan.
