It is with great sadness  that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of Debbie. She is survived by her loving family, and will be greatly missed by her partner, Steve Stundon, father, Don Palmer (pre-deceased by her mother Luanne), son Mylo (Crystal) and their children Halle and Callum, brother, Brad (Denise) and their children Alexa (Cody), Sam (Tannyce) and Jack (Courtney), as well as a large extended family and many dear friends.

Debbie was a generous and kind person, a great cook and always created a warm and comfortable home wherever she lived. She spent the last 5 years wintering in Mexico with the pleasure of her son Mylo, Crystal and grandchildren visiting. We are so sorry that she has left us far too soon. There will be a Celebration of Life as soon as we are able.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.

So very sorry to find out about Debbies sudden passing, such a shocker. We went to school together and shared many great laughs. She was such and riot. Years passed and with every intention of contacting her again the chance is gone. My condolences to her family and partner. I hope your good memories will sustain you when sadness sets in.

    Hello Don Palmer and family,
I am so sorry to learn of the passing away of Debbie, and offer my sympathy to all. It comes as a shock because indeed one would have thought she had many more good years to live. Please know that you and yours have been in my thoughts and prayers.
I knew Debbie only slightly, going back very many years; I would see her around occasionally (in Lake Cowichan) and always she would say a cheery “Hello Mike, how are you?” I agree with the kind comments about her in the obituary; my impression would be that she always tried to be the best person she could be for others.
May all of you find comfort and peace in your time of grieving.
    Mike Hughes
    P. S. Don, it’s been many years since we’ve seen one another; I remember that you and my dad, Bill, seemed to know each other quite well.

Hello Palmer family and all you care for Debbie

I knew Debbie through the years of growing up in lake cowichan.
I have some precious memories with her. We later in life had spontaneous heart to heart
Conversations in parking lots numerous times.
I was glad to get to know her more in our sharing. Always a beautiful smile and spirit.
I am very sorry to hear she is gone suddenly and for the loss of more years she needed to be
Here for you in your lives.

My heartfelt condolences for you all.

Debbie so many things i have to say my friend. Your first trip to Ixtapa changed your life and we did have fun. You were sold and then you bought, and made a beautiful home for you and Steve. I was back 3 more times for a visit, and you always treated me like family. THE c0-OP days as a 14yr. old working and always smiling. I know you loved MYLO AND FAMILY SO much along with Steve. I will remember all the laughs and cherish my memories. of you.

    Dear Mylo and family.
I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of your mom’s passing. Over my years at the Lake I got to know Debbie a little bit and always enjoyed her wicked sense of humour and love for life. I only saw her a few times after moving to Duncan, but she had that same beautiful smile and boundless energy. I bet she was a terrific Mom and Grandma.
My condolences and best wishes to you all.
    Sincerely, Marg Corbett.
