Chris passed away suddenly on June 20, 2008 peacefully at home. Born in Victoria on January 3, 1954, Chris is pre-deceased by his father (Eric), brother (Mark), and step-mother (Joan). Chris leaves his mom (Una), brothers Larry (Kathy), John (Mary), sister Vicky (Harry), step-sister Leslie (Terry), and many other relatives and friends.
Chris lived with schizophrenia since his late teens and always dealt well with the challenges it presented. Chris led a busy and fulfilling life. In recent years he was involved in gardening and volunteered at the Mustard Seed Food Bank where he put his cooking skills to work. He will be remembered as intelligent and witty – but most importantly, as an extremely kind and gentle soul.
A Memorial service to celebrate Chris will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Vancouver & Johnson Street, Victoria, BC at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 4. Service will be led by Father Antonio Osorio as per the wishes of Chris and his family.
