Christeen passed away at Royal Jubilee Hospital on August 31,2022. She was born in Olds, Alberta, on November 8, 1947. Predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Mary Green. She was a beloved wife of 54 years to Steve, outstanding and supportive mother to son Stephen, daughter-in-law Carol and 6 year old grandaughter Georgia.
Christeen also leaves numerous cousins in Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland and Australia. She attended Viscount Bennet High School in Calgary, Alberta and upon graduating, went to work for The Alberta Government Telephone Company.
In 1978 the family moved to Victoria where Christeen worked for the BC Pension Corporation. She volunteered as a civilian band instructor with The Canadian Scottish Regiment Cadet Corps. She joined husband Steve and son Stephen as a founding member of the Pipes and Drums of 443 Squadron RCAF as tenor drummer and also assisted husband Steve in his duties as a band quarter-master.
A celebration of Christeen’s life will be hosted at the Pro Pat Branch Royal Canadian Legion, 411 Gorge Rd East on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 2-6pm. Service will be conducted by Branch Chaplain The Reverend Andrew E. Grates.

Deborah Nicol Christeen was also a valued member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders, Ft Victoria Garrison and great supporter of this Band. Christeen was warm hearted and giving and I always felt her support. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to Steve Sr. and the Kelly family
