It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Chow Mo Chiang announces his sudden passing on June 21st, 2024 at the profound age of 90 years old.

Chow Mo was born on September 1st, 1933 in Canton, China to Sui Yun Chiang and Yik Yeung Liu. He was born into a big family with six siblings. He was the second oldest child and the oldest son in the family. He married Bon Yan Liu in China and together they had three children. Chow Mo and his family later immigrated to Canada in 1979 with the help of his older sister Fung Ping Chiang; and from there on, they found a new place to call home in Victoria B.C.

He was a hardworking man and had many careers in his lifetime such as working as a tailor in Hong Kong and being a business owner in China. Once he immigrated to Canada, he worked at a grocery store, Mo Le Grocers, and then later retired as one of the chefs at Chinese Village Restaurant in Victoria BC.

He was a great family man. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had many favorite hobbies. One of his main hobbies was going to dim sum, where you would frequently find him with his family.

He was a great cook and enjoyed seeing his family devouring his cooking. Many family dinner gatherings were held at his home as he loved to be surrounded by his family. His family was his joy. He loved spending time tending to his garden, growing all kinds of vegetables, fruits and flowers, which he loved to share with his family and friends.

Chow Mo was a caring and devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a wonderful friend to many. His sudden passing left a huge void to all that know him well. However, knowing that he was loved by so many and lived a long fulfilling life brings comfort and peace to his family. Furthermore, he is now reunited once again with his long-time wife for eternity.

He will be forever deeply missed.

He is predeceased by his wife Bon Yan Liu, and leaves behind his children How Yin (Haw Ming), Chung Son (Sui Quon), Sou San (Fong Me). His grandchildren Lorina (Alex), Rosa (Game), Lila (Leslie), Raymond, Benny, Philip, Shirley (Jordan), and Gordon. His great grandchildren, Aisen, Kylan, Tia, Raiiya, Leilee and Luka.
