It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of Charlotte Koettl (Kuzma) on April 9, 2020 in Victoria, BC at the age of 74 (but she will tell you 26).
Charlotte leaves to mourn her husband, Ernie; brother-in-law, Gunther (Greti); sister-in-law, Renate (Walter); nephews, Mark and Patrick; sister-in-law, Helen; niece, Kim; cousin, Anita in California; cousin, Anita (Alfie), Anouschka and far too many close and wonderful friends to list.
Charlotte’s quick-witted humour and wonderful laugh will be forever missed. Her passion for those she loved is everlasting and will live on always. Because it has to!
With sincere thanks to Dr. D. MacNaughton and all of the kind and caring doctors, nurses and staff at RJH who helped to make her last days so comfortable.
Until we meet again….
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

My deepest condolences Ernie… Charlotte was the highlight of my day when you guys came into Thriftys to shop or on Sendial days. Her absence is palpable. She’ll be missed by so many. She was such a huge presence in all our lives.
Please keep stopping by the deli to say hello. This way we’ll all keep her in our thoughts.
