Carolyn passed away on March 12, 2024 in Victoria, British Columbia at the age of 19.
She was born October 23, 2004 in Edmonton, Alberta to Susan and Mark Ledohowski, who moved with their family to Victoria in 2013.
Carolyn was smart, talented, quirky, funny and passionate about art, animation, fashion, literature, travel, food, games, gelato and chocolate. Her interests and hobbies were diverse and varied. She loved nature, museums, drawing, sculpting, baking, cooking, and most of all speaking with her friends. She was currently reading “Uzumaki” a horror manga series by Junji Ito, and “Police, Paramilitaries, Nationalists and Gangsters: The Processes of State Building in Korea” a PhD dissertation by Jonson Nathaniel Porteux.
In her life, she traveled to many countries and experienced many different places and cultures. Whether it was buying clothes in New York, or eating gelato in Venice, she was always keen to appreciate what the locale had to offer, and often scouted out the area on the internet ahead of time as she grew older, sometimes giving directions to a spot she had found during her research.
She was much beloved by her family, and was blessed to be surrounded by people with warmth, compassion and decency for much of her life.
She also had autism. Her last wishes were to help others struggling with autism. In lieu of flowers or other gestures, please make a donation in Carolyn’s honor to the Pacific Autism Family Network https://www.pacificautismfamily.com/donate

Ciaran McLaverty Dear Mark, Susan, and Caitlyn,
Yuki, Ronan, Niamh and I would like to offer our deepest condolences to you on the passing of Carolyn. She was a treasured and loved member of the St. Andrew’s community and we will miss her smile and wonderfully mischievous sense of humour. One of my favourite memories was the first time we met at the interview for Grade 8 to see that excitement in her eyes as she started on the journey to high school. Carolyn will be forever missed and we are so grateful to have known her. May she be in peace with our Lord.
God bless.

Amanda Donegan Mark, Susan and Caitlyn,
The prayers have been abundant, but I can’t find the right words to express how deep my sympathy is. As we walk through lent, I’m holding Carolyn close to mind, and your family. She was so deeply loved, and shared so much love and joy with those around her- a beautiful testament to you both, Mark and Susan. Whether it was chatting in homeroom, or working on the production, Carolyn always found a way to make her stance known and speak up! I can still remember her cheeky giggle when I was needing to ask her repeatedly to stop reading up on Dogecoin/Bitcoin while writing part of a theatre script in class- her calm, happy demeanour was infectious and eventually I found myself learning about crypto-currencies from Carolyn! She was a valued member of my homeroom, TAG 8, and I know she will be deeply missed by her peers and all that knew her in the St.Andrew’s community. I have some quintessential Carolyn photos to send your way from over the years!
Sending much love, and deep regrets that I am away this week. A Mass is being offered for her next month.
Rest in eternal peace, Carolyn. ❤️
