Carol Anne Coutts passed away on March 31, 2006 at the age of 43 years. She was born in Toronto on September 4, 1962, moving to Calgary at 3 years of age. She will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humour by her family: Jean and Earle Coutts; brothers Ric (D.D.), Rob (Sammee) and her nieces, Calyn, Alyssa and Jacqueline, all of Calgary, Alberta and her many friends in Victoria, B.C. She was predeceased by her grandparents, John and Louise Taylor, Niagara Falls, ON; Andrew and Luella Coutts of Walton, ON and her aunt Dorene (Coutts) McCreath and her uncle Carl Coutts. After graduating from Winston Churchill H.S., Calgary, and U. of Calgary, she became involved in the computer industry in the early 80’s. She installed the first computers in Alberta Treasury Branches across Alberta and trained their fIrst computer personnel. She served as computer consultant to several oil companies and the U. of Calgary, as well as teaching computer science in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her love of sailing took her to the West Coast, where she became very involved in the Victoria lifestyle. Prior to her illness she was a computer consultant and Web master for the City of Victoria, B.C. Our special thanks to Shivon Robinsong of the ‘Gettin’ Higher’ choir, particularly Joanna Wilkinson, Gay Standell and Sheila Gaunt in our time of need. Thanks also to the staff of Richmond Pavilion, Royal Jubilee Hospital for their special care.
