Brendan Scott Chandler passed away on November 30, 2020. He is survived by his heartbroken family- his wife Helen Wu, mother Gera Scott Chandler, father Chuck Chandler and his sister Gen.
Brendan was a talented young man. After graduating from Oak Bay High he attended the Camosun College Culinary Program and earned his Red Seal. He worked in the Uplands Golf Club kitchen for several years and made many friends and earned respect for his work ethic. After working in the Culinary field Brendan decided to try a new direction and returned to Camosun to study Civil Engineering. He enjoyed his studies and after receiving his Diploma began working as a Quality Control Technician for Island Asphalt. He loved the work and planned to further his studies in Civil Engineering at UVic.
Brendan had exciting plans for travel, cooking adventures, golf and ski outings, beach walks, ebike rides and one day purchasing that red jeep but no dream could help him overcome the overwhelming pain of Depression and he succumbed to the illness.
