Brenda Goodman (formerly Futter) beloved wife of Geoff Goodman, passed away on January 12, 2019, after a courageous two year battle with cancer and is now living a glorious new life with her Maker. Brenda will be missed by Geoff; her children: David, Debbie, Katy, Mark (Paula); grandchildren: Kristy, Nichola, Ben, Sophie, Hannah, Stirling, Harrison and Scarlett; and great-grandchildren: Caleb and Adriana and her many friends made over the decades.
Brenda was born in England and passed away in Victoria, BC. While she enjoyed ballet and music as a young girl, her main love was horses. She eventually married into the Futter family and came to Canada in the late ’60s. The family lived in various places but Victoria became their true home, where Brenda was involved in many activities with the pony club and was a soccer mum. She was also involved with the churches wherever they were posted in Campbell River, Port Hardy, Saanichton, Gordon Head and the Gulf Islands.
After being widowed for a few years, Brenda was reunited with Geoff, with whom she was very close to as a young person in England and 11 years ago, they were married in Victoria after a brief courtship..
‘Nana Brenda’ as she was affectionately known as by the grandchildren was a central figure in our family life from her beautiful knitting to her tasty lemon curd to the family gatherings. Her strong faith saw her through until her last breath. We all miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive in Victoria at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019. All are welcome.
The family requests no flowers be sent.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Wade Keeler We knew Brenda through our daughter, Quinn and future son-in-law Ben. We were regaled with stories of Nana, she sounded like a wonderfully positive force of nature, leaving joy in her wake.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with Geoff, Katy, Sophie, Hannah and Ben, and the extended family. You were blessed to have had such a strong woman in your lives.
