Beverley was born on January 19, 1943 in Winnipeg to Frank and Anne Woychyshyn. Beverley attended St. John’s High School where she made many long-term friends. While in High School she took Ballroom dancing. Bev would practice diligently at home with her younger sister Carol who was 8 years old at the time. She spent hours working on the Jive, much to Carol’s enjoyment. She worked for Air Canada in Winnipeg which she enjoyed immensely.

She married Mirek Janusz on October 1, 1966. Her first wedding date in September was postponed due to developing MS. This did not stop Bev from living life to its fullest. Working for Air Canada allowed Bev and Mirek to travel extensively. Bev was always impressed with the level of service she received from Air Canada personnel until it was politely explained to her that when she travelled with Sean Connery that was to be expected.

Mirek’s resemblance to Sean Connery was uncanny in his younger years. Bev enjoyed the attention. Bev loved to entertain and she had an extensive collection of cookbooks. She was an enthusiast of sewing and designed and made some lovely outfits. Bev and Mirek moved to Montreal due to Mirek’s work transfer and she enjoyed the hustle and bustle. She always spoke fondly of the friends she made in Montreal and how she enjoyed the local cuisine.

Upon Mirek’s retirement form CPR they moved to Kingston and then found their way to Victoria. Bev was very fond of shopping, much to Mirek’s chagrin and considered it as one of her passion’s in life.

Bev is survived by step grandson Andrew (Melissa), step great grandson Marcus, step grandson Tyler, sister Carol Cholon (Richard) and brothers in law Ron (Lesley) and Michael (Christine) and many nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed by all.

Bev spent the last days of her life in Glenwarren Care Home. During these COVID times she received excellent loving care. Bev and her family would like the Glenwarren staff know how grateful we were.
