Passed away peacefully at Broadmead Lodge, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Vancouver to Walter and Florence McRae, predeceased by brother Bruce McRae and sister Sharon Dresbach. Survived by husband of 67 years, Daryl; sister Bonnie Henriksen; sons Layne (Nancy), Scott, Rob (Linda), and daughter Shannon Windle. Also survived by daughter-in-law Susan; grandchildren Troy (Maia), Brooke (Tomas), Jessica (Laird), May, Chelsea, Trevor, Spencer (Jessica), and Brittany (Will); great-grandsons Logan, Max, and James; sisters-in-law Joyce Harris and Anne Parker; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
While Daryl fought fires, Beverley raised four children at home, ran the raspberry farm on Feltham Road, drove a 1958 Mercury pickup, and still managed to bake bread, cakes, muffins and pies to delight all. After her children grew, she worked for Rogers Chocolates before starting a long and beloved career at Sydney Reynolds china store. Retirement saw Bev and Daryl travelling and cruising, visiting family and friends, and enjoying massive family dinners. Sadly, time inevitably caught up to Bev and she slowed, then paused in her journey to enter the Lodge at Broadmead.
A big thank you to the staff at Broadmead Lodge, especially Ray, and to Drs. Ben How and David Clinton-Baker. A Celebration of Life will be deferred to a later date. Donations may be made in Beverly’s name to your favorite charity.

So sorry to hear about Beverley’s passing. I worked with her at Sydney Reynolds in the ’80s, along with Ellen Williams. I will never forget the day she chased a shoplifter down the block!
