It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey Ellen Benn, (nee Crocker) on May 21, 2024, surrounded by her family. Audrey is predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Ronnie Benn; her son, Brian Benn and her daughter, Marilyn Manson. She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Ernie), Eleanor; son Allan (Mafalda); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Audrey was a terrific golfer in her day, winning many awards and trophies, and enjoyed playing bridge with the golf ladies during the off season. Audrey and Ronnie lived all of their married life in the house they built together, adding rooms as needed as the family grew. She and Ronnie were cheerleaders at the many ball games and tournaments that their kids played in; always providing snacks and support. Audrey’s greatest love, was family; especially gatherings with everyone present and “lots of nonsense going on”, as she would say. Now reunited with her soulmate, Dad.
Rest easy Mom, job well done.
A Celebration of the Lives of Audrey and her daughter, Marilyn, is to be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 2:00pm at McCall Gardens’ Sequoia Centre, 4465 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.
