Lisa C Deepest condolences to the family. I am very sorry to read Angie’s obituary in the newspaper. I remember Angie working at the Fairway Market post office and always being so pleasant and hard working. She was always helpful to troubleshoot for customers and remained calm at the busiest of times. Although I did not know her personally, I feel she was a beautiful person. May she rest in peace.

Maggy (Soos) Charles I have such fond memories of meeting her when she came to Trinity with her Mom and brother Eldon in the mid 80’s. Jeannette and I taught her class together in Sunday School and it was always a blessing when we connected in their home. Although we haven’t seen much of each other over the years I was blessed to see her and her Mom a couple of times in the last few years and she was that same sweet and caring person I knew her to be. Beautiful eyes and loving heart <3 May God bless and comfort the family as she will leave a huge gap… for now <3

Shannon Tait My deepest condolences to Angie’s family, friends, coworkers, and customers on her passing. I don’t know anything about her story, as like many here, I only knew Angie by my interactions with her at the Postal Outlet, especially for the 16 years we lived nearly around the corner from the grocery store. Our son travelled a lot, and I often sent him cards and care packages. Angie was always so kind, interested, patient, and efficient and I looked forward to my post office visits because of her. She was a lovely person with such warm, beautiful eyes and a kind smile. I’m sad to know she passed so young. Thank you for sharing the news in the Goldstream Gazette. She will be missed and remembered.

Susan Johnsen Jeanette, Eldon and Angie were our first friends on Thetis Island in 1979. Angie was a delightful pretty little girl mixing into things, always on the go, a little dynamo! I was delighted to meet up again with Angie and Jeanette recently. I am so shocked and saddened by the sad news. My heartfelt sympathy. ❤

Virginia I moved to Langford in 2010 and Angie was one of the first people I met. My business had me at the post office at least once a week and often with huge bulk of mailouts. She managed the post office line up like a champ, never seeing her fluster, always friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a pleasure to watch and even a long line up was easier knowing Angie was in charge. Anyone who trained under her know they were taught by the best. She was a patient, kind human and went the extra effort for her family and friends. Angie and I became friends sharing recipes, books, and stories about our families over the years. She loved being an Aunty and holiday dinners with her family. Her dry sense of humor made our visits fun.
During the pandemic a couple times I teared up and she gently leaned in and said it’s ok a lot of people cry with me lately. Angie was an important part of our community and is missed by many. Those who knew her are better for it – she was a smile and light in your day. Some people, like flowers give pleasure just by being and that was our Angie of the Goldstream Post Office.
I miss you, my friend.

Diana Hliva My deepest condolences, my sympathy and prayers go out to her family during these sad times.

-
Jan Hare I was in the post office last week and wondered where’s Angie? She was so pleasant to deal with and didn’t ever seem flustered and kept smiling in spite of being very busy. I’ve known her since she worked with my niece at Western Foods many years ago. I was heartbroken to read that she is no longer with us. She was so young and beautiful inside and out. She will be dearly missed. My condolences to Angie’s family.

Robb Johnson To Dear Angie’s Family and Friends, It is with great sadness in my heart that I read in today’s local newspaper. As so many others have eluded to-the kind and friendly smile when one approached the counter to post an item. She certainly will be missed and thought about all the time. Hopefully the family will take comfort in knowing so many people she touched in gentle ways.
Sincerely, Robb J.

Rebekah Constantine Always a bright and happy face in an otherwise mundane job. I always loved talking with you, joking with you, and being around you. You are loved and you will be sorely missed.
-
John Shortreid To the friends and family of Angie. I did not know Angie as well as many of you but never the less feel sadness as Angie and I interacted with each other on opposite sides of the post office counter for many years. We knew each other well enough to know each other by a first name.
The conversations were light and friendly and I could see how she was so proud of her family’s growing accomplishments and how much she really enjoyed camping. A positive and friendly person who I know will be missed as expressed in her written memoriam here. My best thoughts are passed along to the surviving family and friends of Ang who has left us too soon. JS
