Aileen passed peacefully at the Summit in Victoria, BC with beloved Kari by her side, part of our family for over 37 years with whom she shared a close bond. Aileen was predeceased by her brother Richard (Rick) in 2005, her husband Henry (Harry) in 2012, her eldest son Robert (Bob) in 2021, and her sister Marilyn in 2023. She is survived by her son Thomas (Tom; Colleen, d.), her daughter Laurien (Jeff), her son Roy (Connie), and daughter-in-law Janice (Bob) as well as her grandchildren Jeanette, Tanya, Gina, Adrian, Nicole, Eric, Scott, Melissa, and Dillan. She also leaves behind 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. “Mighty oaks from little acorns grow.” Aileen was an outgoing person who loved ice cream, music, dancing, laughter, and meeting new people. She was employed at McGill & Orme Pharmacy at various locations for over twenty years and enjoyed working with co-workers and customers alike. Thank you to Dr. Matthew Vaughan and the caring staff of the former Oak Bay Lodge and the Summit who cared for Mom with compassion since 2012. Special mention to health care aid Elle with whom Mom had a wonderful rapport.
