The beautiful and kind soul, Abnash Kaur Hundal suddenly left us on April 30, 2019.
The beloved daughter of the late Sardar Jasnandan Singh Sidhu and Harpal Kaur Sidhu, devoted wife of 44 years to Sardar Amarjit Singh Hundal, sister to Jasvinder Sidhu ( Rajinder Kaur) and Ravinder Sidhu, loving mother to daughter Taninder (Anantdeep) Dhillon and son Jasminder, and doting grandmother to Amreet and Japneet Dhillon. Her kind nature, engaging personality and smiling eyes left you with such a warm feeling that will be immeasurably missed.
Abnash was born in Ajmer, Rajasthan and raised in both Delhi and Jalandhar where she excelled in academics and athletics. She graduated with a B Ed and taught high school before emigrating to Victoria, BC to join her husband, Amarjit in 1976.
In 1977, she gave life and love to twins Jasminder and Taninder (aka Sonny and Tina), and devoted her life to them and her family thereafter.
Mom persevered through her diabetes and associated complications with great strength. She started dialysis in 1998, and we would like to thank all members of the Victoria Renal community, especially all the nephrologists, nurses and technicians that she shared time and laughter with for the past 20 years while allowing us to do the same with her.
Abnash will be missed by countless family and friends. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she left an impression on. Gurinderjit, in particular she carried a special bond with.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada and Vancouver Island Kidney Patients Association.
