FRASER, Sarah "Olive" (nee Rae) – Died peacefully in Hospice on November 6, 2008. Born in Ayr, Scotland on September 16, 1926 and immigrated to Canada in 1957. Olive was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves her husband, George; her sons, Bill (Joanne) and Colin (Heather); her grandchildren, Cameron, Jordan, Meaghan and Ciara, along with her sister, Sheila in Scotland and numerous, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Olive worked in the Pharmacy at Eatons for many years retiring in 1991. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and for many years, she could be found every weekend watching their soccer games with George, even in the pouring rain. She had a passion for reading, Scottish Country Dancing, gardening, cooking and travel. One of her daily favourite pastimes was listening to George play her favourite music on the organ. Olive was a kind and compassionate gentle lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Olive’s life will be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Streets on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 2:30 pm. A reception will follow in the McCall’s Family Centre.
