At the age of 90, passed away peacefully at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital on October 5, 2008. Violet was born in Victoria in 1918. She was predeceased by her two husbands, George Alexander and Raymond Eiteneier; her sisters (twin) Norah, Ivy, Doll and her brothers, Fred, Cyril, Percy and Reg. Violet will always be remembered by her nieces, Sandra (Ken) Maclaren, Betty (Brian) Town, Chris Cliff and Mike, Margaret (Ray) Charles and their families; nephews, Bill, Adam and Chris Fulton, Allan (Pat) Cliff, Reg (Gail) Cliff, Fred (Tina) Cliff and their families as well as her dear friend Helen and many other friends. Violet worked at Eaton’s lunch counter for 25 years. She also enjoyed feeding the stray cats, squirrels and birds. A very special thank you to Dr. Susan Matthews, Sheila, the Goldstream Priory daycare, Fran, Debbie and the caring staff at Mount St. Mary’s.
A Memorial Service will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00 am. In lieu of lowers, donations can be sent to Mount St. Mary Foundation, 861 Fairfield Road, Victoria, BC V8V 5A9 or the Wild Arc, 1020 Malloch Road, Victoria, BC V9C 4G9.
