The sudden death of Frank at his home in Victoria leaves his loving wife and family sorrowing but rejoicing knowing that though absent from us he is present with the Lord. Survived by beloved wife of 51 years, Alice; son David (Robyn), grandchildren Scott, Kemma and Nate; son Douglas (Sharon), grandchildren Grace, Meg and Nathanael; son Frank (Jo), grandchildren Nicolas, Jonathan, Sarah, Matthew, and Timothy; son Daniel (Kim), grandchildren Zachary and Ivy; son Michael (Amanda), grandchildren James and Luke; and by brothers Hugh (Bev), Ernie (Gwynn) and Zeke (Isobel) and their families. Fond memories of Frank are shared by friends and neighbours, members of Central Baptist Church, former colleagues at DREP, and the many international friends who experienced his warm hospitality during their stay in Victoria.
A Service in Celebration of Frank’s life will be held at Central Baptist Church, 833 Pandora Avenue, Victoria B.C. on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations might be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, the Gideons, the Salvation Army or the Canadian Bible Society in Frank’s honour.
