June Nellie Hetherington

June 8, 1929 – September 3, 2008 

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of June Nellie Hetherington. June was born the youngest of three siblings in Portland, Oregon to Arthur and Nellie Knappett. June was raised in Esquimalt, BC and was a longtime resident of Cadboro Bay. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Gerry, of 54 years; her daughters Junell (Charlie) and Karen (Geoff); granddaughters Nikki (Scott), Leanna (Curtis) and Jacki (Nick); and relatives and friends. The family wish to thank the staff of The Gorge Road Hospital and Glenwarren Lodge who cared for her over the past year. A memorial service will be held on Monday September 8, 2008 at 1pm at McCall Bros. Family Chapel, 1400 Vancouver St., Victoria, BC, V8V 3W3. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC.
