Hoole, Brian Lawrence, died peacefully after a brief struggle with cancer, on August 8, 2008 in Victoria, B.C. at home, with his loving wife beside him. He was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, UK on October 30, 1944. Brian will be sorely missed by his wife Elisabeth; daughters, Susan (Len) Federico, Abigail (Kevin) Pavan, Rachel Hoole and Elisabeth (Adam) Hoole-Mcallum); five grandchildren, Nick, Hayden, Mariah, Melissa and Shayla; his mother-in-law Vera Tidmarsh and many family, friends and colleagues in Canada and the UK.
Brian was an educator and mentor all his adult life, and was Superintendent of Schools in Lake Cowichan and the Cowichan Valley.
A funeral will be held at Christ Church Cathedral on Thursday, August 14th at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow in the Cathedral School Gymnasium.
