It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sam Podgorenko on July 9, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Sam leaves behind his wife, Kay of 52 years; his 5 children, Laura Podgorenko (Jeremy), Robin Hoesly (Lee), Jo-Anne Sigurdson (Randy), Tracy Podgorenko and Ross Podgorenko. Sam is survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Glenwarren Lodge.
A Celebration of Sam’s life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 10:00 am at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The B.C. Cancer Foundation targeting the Terry Fox Laboratory for Leukemia, 1-888-906-2873.
