HARWOOD, Anita Louise – ON February 9, 2008 at Victoria Hospice after a 2 year battle against ovarian cancer.
Anita is lovingly remembered by her children, Ray, Deanna, Dennis (Ruby), Charlene (Chris) Shepperd; grandchildren, Cole Fletcher and Rynjil; siblings, Norman (Peggy) Laurie, Terry (Jean) Higgins and Selene Higgins; nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Anita worked many years on the family egg farm and then many more for Galey’s. She also enjoyed a successful career as a seamstress, through which she made many lasting friendships. Her enjoyment was following the life and music of Johnny Cash, her love for her family and spending time with her grandchildren, including the care she provided Cole in his early years.
A private graveside service will be held for family.
A reception for friends and family will take place at SEQUOIA GARDENS MEMORIAL, 4665 Falaise Dr. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, MS Society of Canada and the Victoria Hospice.
