WILES – Dorothy H., passed away suddenly at her home in Victoria, B.C. on April 9th, 2002. Born in Montana on February 1, 1924, she is predeceased by her parents Herbert T. Wiles and Alice C. Wakefield, and her brother Gerard H. Wiles. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her sister Judith Wiles, her sister-in-law Mary Wiles, her nephews Roger and Eric Wiles, her nieces Lesley Liddle and Carman Wiles, her grandniece Alanya Wiles, and “Smokey” her feline companion. Dorothy was an avid member of the Victoria Camera Club and the Hydro Power Pioneers, and was a past member of the Victoria Choral Society. Dorothy will be remembered for her strong independence and as a lover of nature, photography, and travel.
A service of remembrance will be held for Dorothy at St. Martin In The Fields Anglican Church at 550 Obed Avenue, Victoria, B.C. on Wednesday, April 17th, 2002, at 2 p.m., with the Canon William Morrison officiating. A private interment will follow at Christ Church Cathedral. Flowers gratefully declined.
