EAST, Victoria Joan (nee Dawson) 1913 2006 Joan passed away peacefully at Victoria, BC on April 13, 2006, at the age of 92 years. Born in Victoria on Wetherby Road, July 3, 1913. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Selina Dawson; and brother-in-law Jack. Survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Howard (Howie). Lovingly remembered by her sister, Olive (Meadley) and Olive’s family, Ted (Maureen), Maureen (Vince Dale) and Danielle; brother-inlaw, Delbert; sisters-in-law Hazel (Dave), Ruby, Lila and aunt Lola and Uncle Maurice in Alberta; also many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Joan had a career as a gifted Teacher in Lantzville and Victoria. After her marriage to Howie in 1953 she turned her attentions to family and friends, and enjoying her garden. Special thanks to Dr. Merali and Irene for their wonderful care and to many dear friends for their love and support. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson and Vancouver Sts., on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow in the Graham & Torrey McCall Family Centre.
