SOMMER- Mabel “Mae” nee Sangster passed away in Duncan B.C., Nov. 23, 2004. She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on March 7, 1925. Her family emmigrated to Canada in 1926. Predeceased by her first husband Percy Pike; son Christopher Pike; sister Adeline Anderson; grandson Michael Sommer. Survived by her loving husband Edward “Ted” Sommer; daughter Shirley Kristensen (Gunnar); stepdaughter Val Sommer (Louise); son Arthur Pike (Faye); stepson Steve Sommer; daughter-in-law Shirley Pike-Smith (Ray); grandchildren, Darlene, Dale, Deanna, Nathan,Tanis, Cara, Carmen, Nicole and David. Her strength, courage, thoughtfulness and sense of humour was the way she dealt with life’s happiness and sorrow. This is the lasting legacy she has passed on to her family. Through dedication and devotion from husband Ted, Mae’s life was lovingly fulfilled.
