RAMSDEN- Blanche Marie (nee Jamieson), born on April 5, 1915, in Swift Current, Sask., passed away peacefully in her sleep May 15, 2004, at the Oak Bay Lodge after a long and happy life. She will be remembered with the deepest love and affection by her devoted husband, Bert; her son, Don (Nancy); daughter, Karen (Chip); grandchildren, Andrea, Jennifer, Jon, Jamie and Jeff; brother-in-law, Cal (Eleanor); nephew, Bob (Brenda); and nieces, Janet (Jack), Diane (Joey) and Sue Ann (Jim). A beautiful, athletic woman with a captivating smile, Marie became an accountant in her single years. Her life journey took full flight during the Second World War when she met her beloved Bert at a servicemen’s function in Regina. A most remarkable love blossomed and never wilted through a marriage of almost 59 years in Nelson, BC and Victoria. As our dearest wife, mother, grandmother passes into God’s care, the family wishes to thank everyone for their concern and care. A special thanks to the staff at Oak Bay Lodge and Dr. H. Domke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie’s memory to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at ST. AIDAN’S UNITED CHURCH, 3703 St. Aidan’s St. (off Cedar Hill X Rd at Richmond Rd.) Saanich, BC on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., following a private family burial service.
