HOLLAND, Grayce Doreen (nee Shirreff) – born in Victoria on October 28, 1933, passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospice , Sunday, March 7, 2004. Predeceased by her parents, Alice and Jack Shirreff; infant sister, Evelyn Jean; and brother, Jack, Doreen is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Eric; sons, Garry (Gloria) of Edmonton and Robert of Victoria; daughter, Evelyn Turnbull of Victoria; grandchildren, Andrew, Michelle, Shannon, James and Matthew. She will be lovingly remembered by sisters, Isabel Damey of Port Alberni, Florence (Bill) Cooknell of Victoria and Barbara Mossie of Victoria; and sister-in-law, Gillian Shirreff of Victoria; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
Funeral service will be held at FIRST METROPOLITAN UNITED CHURCH, 932 Balmoral Rd., on Saturday, March 13, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice, Richmond Pavilion, 1952 Bay St., Victoria, BC V8R 1J8 or The Canadian Cancer Society, 750 Hillside Ave., Victoria, BC V8T 1Z4.
