Cassidy, Sybil Margaret (nee Palmer) passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Sunset Lodge on March 31, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Born on January 14, 1918 in Gaspe, QC to Ada and Douglas Palmer. Predeceased by her loving husband Eric and brother Dean. Survived by daughter Karen (Camil Bouchard); son Albert; granddaughters Alison Cassidy, Erika Bouchard; sister Vera Crane and extended family and friends. Sybil will be lovingly remembered for her easy going nature, sense of humour and generosity during many years of volunteer activities. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the 3rd floor staff at Sunset Lodge who loved and cared for Sybil.
A celebration of her life will be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson at Vancouver Streets, on April 15, 2009 at 2:30 pm. Reception to follow in McCalls Family Centre. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of B.C., #300 – 828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1E2.

Our condolences to you both and your families. We wish we could be there with you, your mum was a lovely women. I (Sharon) remember our stay there on our honeymoon. Since my maiden name is Annett your mum showed me a family tree book for the annett family we tried to find the connection from her family to mine.
Once again our sympathies, we will be making a donation to the Alzheimer’s society there in B.C.
