I was surprised and saddened to hear of Jack’s passing. We both shared a great passion for music and he will always be remembered not only as a good friend but a fine pianist.
Our heartfelt condolences to Marcia and family. May cherished memories and the loving support of family and friends sustain you at this time and in the days ahead.

It was a great honour and privilege to know Jack and share musical experiences. The musical community has lost a great guy. Condolences to all the family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Jack at the Union Club for many, many years. He was always such a gracious and kind person and made everyone’s night playing their favorite tunes.
Over the years he took over finding the musicians for the different social evenings for the Club and was perfect at matching the right musician for the right event. When I moved upstairs to the accounting dept. he offered encouragment and help anytime I wanted it! He will be missed greatly!

Dear Marcia: I wanted you to know that I’m thinking about you during this painful time. You always graced our coffee break table with captivating stories of the life you shared with Jack — adventures, pets, travel, friends and always the music. He seemed, through you, a man of great generosity of spirit and your loss, no doubt, is profound.
“His life was gentle; and the elements
So mix’d in him that Nature might stand up
And say to all the world “This was a Man!” Julius Caesar, Act 5, Sc.5
    Love, Lori LaRose

Both Ev and I are shocked and greatly saddened at the sudden death of Jack Carmichael. Just last week we spoke to him at length at theUnion Club and enjoyed his usual friendly exchange. It will not be the same without hearing the great show tunes from the man in white dinner jacket. Thank you, Jack, for all the pleasure you gave us.
