Florence Clara Burley (Dunnell) passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, in Sidney, BC. She was born on September 13, 1930, in Victoria, BC, and lived her entire life in the area. She was a student at Victoria High School, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother, and, during her career, an Office Manager for the legislature at the Parliament Building. Florence was an avid crafter and regular vendor of ornaments and doll clothes at local craft fairs. She loved sweepstakes and was meticulous about her entries. She was lucky, too, winning 12 trips worldwide, a motorcycle (which was promptly sold), and even a year’s supply of toilet paper. You name it, she won it!

Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Burley (2021), father, Stephan Dunnell (1982), and mother, Agnes Dunnell (Sovik) (1991). She is survived by her two children, Glenn Burley and Diane Perkin; five grandchildren, Lindsay Perkin and Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mary, and Daniel Burley; three great-grandchildren, Dillan and Caitlin Wassell and Wulfgang Berg; and siblings, Helen and Harry.
