Born on June 11, 1937, in Edson Alberta, passed away at home on September 30, 2024, in Victoria, BC.
He is survived by his wife Maureen Ruth (Danard) of 63 years, son Robert Scott of Vancouver BC, daughters Dawn Maureen and Shannon Lee both of Victoria. Grandsons Lochlain and Alec Broadley, sisters Rena Joy (Al) Stelter and Sharon Gayle of Edmonton Alberta, sister-in-law Vivian of Victoria and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers David and Rod and sisters Mary Ellen Price and Irene Stadnick.  Bob spent a life time as a cattleman and in his younger days a foundation partner in an Edmonton Livestock Brokerage firm before retiring to Vancouver Island to raise Quarter Horses and purebred Romney sheep. Bob was never as happy as he was when he was surrounded by his family, livestocks and his bulldogs. He was a kind, determined, loving and always a man of his word. He will be greatly missed by Maureen, his forever love and his children and grandchildren.  Even though Bob prepared his family for life’s challenges, his passing leaves a hole in this closely knitted family.

A Traditional Funeral will be held on October 8, 2024, at 2:00 pm, in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria.

Dear Maureen and family. I am so sorry to read of Bob’s passing. I have many fond memories of our times together, Bible studies and prayer meetings in your home. That was a very long time ago. May you experience the reality of God’s love, peace and comfort as you adjust to life without your dear husband, dad and grandpa.

Dearest Maureen, Scott, Dawn, Shannon and the boys. We of course were saddened to hear the news of Bob’s passing. Such a great family man and we will always remember fondly Bob telling us new farmers “how to get it done”. From learning about birthing sheep to not being that city farmer, we truly loved him. Being neighbours and always welcomed by you all will forever make our hearts joyous. Keep your memories close and look up at the stars, the bright twinkling one will be Bob. Big hugs to you all. Hello Maureen and family. I would like to express my sincere condolences at Bob’s passing. Although I have not seen you for many years I remember my time as a neighbour with fondness. Your hospitality was always so generous. The “come on, let’s go for coffee” will always be remembered.
I am sorry that I cannot attend the service as I have a dental implant surgery booked for Tuesday morning. Sending love to all of you.
