It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Beverley Vallance of Victoria, British Columbia at the age of 86.

She was predeceased by her loving husband David Jamieson (Jamie) Vallance, in 1982; her brother John in 2019; and her granddaughter Brittany in 2019.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Scott, Tracey (Darryl), David (Sandra), Joy (Peter); grandchildren Ashley (Stewart), Jennifer, Kristina (Wayne) and Jamie; great-grandchildren Emily and Amelia; her brother Robert (Lois) and sister Jean and her many friends.

Beverley was born in Carp, Ontario to the late Everett Carruthers and Kathleen Carruthers (Boot).  As a young adult, Beverley moved to Victoria, BC, where she met Jamie, and they raised their family in Cordova Bay.

Beverley was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and homemaker.  She was always active, loved her garden, spending as much time in it as possible. She participated in activities with the Victoria Garden Club for many years.  She also loved to play the piano, knit, crotchet, needlework, ballroom dance, square dance, and to play bridge.  She was proud of her many years of volunteering with Sendial and having conversations with those needing support.

Her family appreciates the assistance provided by VIHA Home Support, Broadmead Lodge, Volunteer Saanich, and the care she received in hospital.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
