Passed away on June 28, 2024 in Victoria, B.C. He was born in Victoria on May 8, 1980.
Derek is survived by his mother, Alexandra (Sandy) Niebergall; father, Wayne Niebergall; daughter, Atira Niebergall; sister, Juliana Vincent (nee Niebergall) and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
As a youth, Derek was an avid soccer and hockey player as well as a skilled trumpet player. He graduated from Sprott Shaw Community College in 2006 with a diploma in Business and worked primarily in the construction and painting industry. As an adult Derek became a devout Christian and studied the Bible intensively.
Derek rests in peace at Royal Oak Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria Cool Aid Society www.coolaid.org
