Meg’s family would like to thank the Aberdeen Hospital management, staff, and the residents and their family members who have been a part of Meg’s life over the last 15 years. Meg spoke fondly of you to us. We are grateful because you were there every day, all day, being present with Meg when we as family could not always be there.
We would also like to thank the Emergency Department and the Coronary Care Unit of the Royal Jubilee Hospital. We would like to acknowledge the staff of 8 North, The Respiratory Department of the Jubilee Hospital who were like Meg’s second family. Meg loved the eighth-floor staff and the views she could get from her room. She called it her “vacation location”.
Meg’s family would also like to acknowledge the professional work of the B.C. Ambulance service who responded and greatly assisted Meg during times of emergency over the last fifteen years, especially August 8, 2023.

Sister Marie Zarowny, SSA I already miss Meg’s gentle, loving presence in our midst here on earth, even though we know she continues to be with us in other ways. I regret not being able to join you on the 19th but I’ll watch the livestream later and will be praying along with and for all of you.

Stephanie I met Meg when visiting my mom at Aberdeen. Meg was always so lovely and a joy to chat with. We would often see her in the garden tending to her tomato plants and she always had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed.
-
Peter Carvill We, friends of her sister Philomena here in Dublin, feel we knew Meg because Phil spoke of her often. We are confident that they are once more enjoying each other’s company in the presence of God, whom they both loved so much. May God himself be their eternal reward.

Joyce Harris, ssa To the Morrissey Family,
You are in our prayers as you mourn the loss of Meg. Now that Meg lives fully in the “heart of God” we give thanks for her beautiful, joy-filled spirit and the inspiration she has been to many of us over the years.
May you support and comfort each other and know that Meg is showering her love on each of you.
Many Sisters of St. Ann were enriched by Meg’s presence, smile and graciousness and we will keep you all in our praying now.

Linda Boire Dear John and Joyce,
I am saddened to hear of Meg’s death. She was a wonderful, joy-filled, and faith-filled person. And one of the best readers St. Andrew’s Cathedral ever had! I have such good memories of her. She always smiled and saw the good in everyone and everything.

Richard Dunstan I knew Meg only slightly, but she always had a smile for me, and for everybody else. A true saint!
Just being in Meg’s presence was peaceful and inspiring at the same time
She definitely had an impact on me when I worked at the Cathedral in the early 1980’s
As has been said by Linda she was an amazing proclaimer of the Word
We really heard the Word as Meg proclaimed
I also remember she smiled so authentically that she made you feel all truly was well in life and in the world
Keep praying for us Meg as we honour you
