Aileen Leonard Halme (nee Malcolm) passed away peacefully in Victoria, B.C., on November 9, 2023, at the celebrated and proud age of 100 years. Born on April 5, 1923, to Isabella and David Malcolm who homesteaded near Leslieville, AB. Aileen was predeceased by her husband, Thomas (2002) and daughter, Arlene (2010). Aileen leaves her sons, David (Shannon) of Blaine, WA and Lorne (Valerie) of Comox, B.C.; granddaughter, Anita, of Victoria, B.C.; grandsons, Peter, Seth, Griffin (Meredith) of Duncan, B.C., Nick (Albina) of Vancouver, B.C. and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Brett, Rowan, and Brynn.
Aileen was admitted to the prestigious Roll of the Order of St. John by the Governor General of Canada in 1992 in recognition of her service with the St. John Ambulance for more than 40 years.
