Edythe Margaret Spence, born April 17, 1925 in Newburgh, Ontario passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 11, 2023 in Victoria, British Columbia. Predeceased by her husband Borden and son Colin, and lovingly remembered by her daughter Julie, granddaughters Holly (Dave Goosen) and Lanna and great grandchildren Marshal, Alexis and Willow. You will forever be in our hearts, “and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand”.
Interment at Rideauvale Cemetery, Kars, Ontario at a later date. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society.

Sue and Graham We were neighbors of Edythe and grew to love her independence, sense of style and the joy she got from travelling and playing cards. Edythe was a loyal Senators fan that went way back. You didn’t visit or call when the team was playing. We will think of Edythe always and much love to Julie and family. Our sincerest condolences for this remarkable women. Love Sue and Graham.
Dear Julie and family, I’m so grateful I had the chance to know your mother Edythe as both a teaching colleague starting in 1974 and as a cherished friend. Edythe and I loved our annual luncheons when we talked and laughed for hours. I have so many memories that I will treasure always. May your memories bring you peace and comfort as well. Love Sheryl
