    Dear Pang Family,
It has been a very long time since I was in Victoria, but I still remember your mother’s wonderful cooking and sharp wit. She had an amazing life. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know she was so proud of all of you, and with good reason. And I’m so glad I had the chance to know your mom a little and learn about her life. I remember trying to find a restaurant in Boston that could even come close to what she knew at home. It was fruitless, of course, but I’m happy we had the chance to try.
