Inger died peacefully at the age of 92 in Victoria, B.C. on March 27, 2023. Predeceased by her loving husband Herbert Ray Kidd in 2006. Dearest mother of Ian (Nancy), Karyn, Christine (Ross), Scott (Helen) and Erik (Maureen), all of B.C. She will be sadly missed by all seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her brother Lauritz Mikkelsen of Blentarp, Sweden. Predeceased by her parents Arne and Karen Mikkelsen.
Inger was born in Viborg, Denmark on March 14, 1931. Inger arrived in New York City in 1952 where she stayed with her Aunt Karta until departing for Peterborough, Canada where she au paired for the Kelly family. Inger met Ray in Peterborough playing doubles tennis. They married October 1953 and raised their five children in Hamilton, Ontario then moving the family to Victoria, B.C. in 1977. Inger was an avid enthusiast of tennis, cooking, a potter, avid reader, gardener Extraordinaire and lover of her Airedales Bess and Jiggs.
