It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Maria Manuela Couto on Feb 26, 2023 in Victoria BC. Maria was born on Dec 20, 1953 in Sao Miguel, Azores.
Maria will be remembered for her love of fashion, music, her red Volkswagen Bug and her dedicated years working for the Ministry of Attorney General. Although she didn’t have the easiest journey in life, she continued to persevere and remain strong.
Predeceased by her mother (Manuela), father (Virgilio) and brothers (Virgil, Tony and Henrique)
She was a devoted sister, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her brother (Jose Lima), daughter Michelle (Matthew, Marcus and Mateo)
Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4635 Elk Lake Drive, Victoria, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 10:00 am, and service will follow at Royal Oak Burial.
