It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Danny Paterson on August 27, 2022, in Victoria, BC. First born of four children on November 15, 1981, in Saanichton, BC. Danny is survived by his parents Caroline (Niven) and Fred (Jo-Anne), brother Jamie (Ashley), sister Diana (Phil) and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Danny was always known for his passion in art. Whether it was creating artwork for family and friends, or competing in an art battle, being an artist was something Danny was very proud of.
Anyone who knew Danny knew his kindness and compassion. In the past few years Danny profoundly demonstrated this when he became a Health Care Assistant and began working at Luther Court Society. It was there that Danny really seemed to have found his purpose. He was always known to bring joy and genuine care to the residents.
Danny loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and was always the one running after them at get-togethers, doing art projects, and playing games with them. He was a true friend who was always there for a hug and knew how to put a smile on your face; he will be greatly missed.
Danny was a proud member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Victoria Pride Society.

Terry Stofer Danny – what a great person! I met him May 13th 2022 when my mum moved into long term care at Luther Court. He made both of our lives so much better during the next few weeks of adjustment. He was kindness personified. His gentle humour, humility, professionalism and attention to detail were amazing. He always made time to listen to my concerns, helped me cope when I was feeling so overwhelmed with everything. My mum loved him and was really comfortable and confident in his care. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know him.
