Neil & Maureen Fatin Dearest Rose, Christa, Toddy, Vynessa & Families:
Parting is such sweet sorrow. We have had the privilege of knowing Barry as a former neighbour & true friend for 35 years in Victoria & the Cowichan Valley. We shared laughter & tears and watched his family grow, marry & produce his beloved children & grandchildren. He will be greatly missed however – ‘Gone from our sight’ but never from our hearts’. Our sincerest condolences Rose, the love of his life, and the family at this very difficult time. He is in royal company now.
Love Maureen & Neil

Rick Anthony Dear Rose, Christa, Toddy and Vynessa, my sister Michelle and I were so saddened to hear of Barrys passing. Barry was such a great friend to our Dad Richard for 40+ years and has been in our lives since we were kids. He was so much a part of Dads car and coffee “posse”, we know he’ll now be with Dad, TQ, Michael and Peter probably drinking heavenly coffee and talking cars etc. Barry was so kind to give me my first job in security with Alarm Guard when I was 18 which ultimately led to a 32 year police career, for which I will always be grateful. He was a true friend to all, a kind and patient man who always had time to chat and provided sage advice for my late brother Brad, sister Michelle and myself as we grew up. He will be missed. Love and heartfelt condolences from Michelle and I.

Jessie Shanks I loved your dad/husband from the first time we met. He made such an impression. He made a person feel like they belonged in his circle of friends from the first meet. He was funny and SO full of stories. I can see by the family he and Rose made that he loved his girls and cherished his wife. Condolences and hugs
